Secret Eleven: I Can Hear God.

GASP! That's right ladies and gentlemen! I can hear God. But don't be so shocked and surprised at me, I have nothing super special about me where I can hear our Creator's voice. God has already called out to each and everyone of us, but get this to some of us...IT'S NOT EVEN A VOICE! Yeah, while some can hear the voice of God, others 'hear it' in a different way. Confused yet? Let me give you an example; While sometimes I can hear the voice of God, I'm more of a visual person. Being visual is how I learn, study and read 90% of the time. God understands that this is how I listen the best, so instead of hearing the voice of God, I can see visions he's given me. And before you think I'm a nut-case or a crazy listen up. God has called each and everyone of us some way, some how. You may have not heard the voice, but God can be present in a situation, vision or dream, in a word someone has given to you, even while your reading your bible.
I don't know about you, but a long time ago I used to not share my visions with other people. Mostly because I knew that they would think I was crazy. But, and trust me on this one friends, the more I dive in and read the word of God, the more I see how God doesn't call Kings and Queens or Political figures or heroes that wear underwear on the outside of there pants, He doesn't want those people. God wants to prove how strong and powerful he is by choosing those who are the 'weakest' or 'unfit' in society. Just look at the people that he's chosen. Jacob was a cheater, Peter had a temper issue, David slept with someone who wasn't his wife, Noah had a drinking problem, Jonah turned his back on God, Paul murderer the first Christians, Miriam loved to gossip, Gideon was insecure, Thomas doubted, Elijah was depressed, Moses had a speech issue, Zaccheus was short, Abraham was as old as dirt, and good garden party...LAZARUS WAS DEAD!
God called these people to do incredible things and they were considered normal, every day people. God will call you, in a way that you will be able to hear him. But here is the thing my friends, God can be shouting at the top of his lungs, sending sign after sign your way, telling you the things that will come to pass if you don't listen to him and we can still ignore him. That's the thing that breaks my heart, God can literally lay everything we ever needed, wanted or thought we couldn't have in front of us and we just get up and walk away from it. When Jesus walked the Earth, friends, he showed us how we could have it all, Jesus called us to follow him. When he died on the cross, bore our punishment, God literally handed us eternal life. Why? Because he loves us, as simple as that. God's already given us everything and some of us choose to silence his voice, to walk away from it all.
God's voice is one of love and forgiveness. He wants an active relationship with us, that's why he wants to speak with us. It's hard to maintain a relationship if there is no communication isn't it. It's the back and forth, "How was your day?" and "Tell me more." It makes the relationship have depth and trust. Some people tell me that they can't put there trust in something they can't see, that God doesn't speak to them. My next question for these people with these questions is..."How often do you pray to God?" When they tell me that they pray all the time my follow up question is, "Tell me the truth." Yes, talking to God is a step-by-step thing, and sometime God doesn't give you want you want. There was a time when I asked God for a TV, when I didn't get it I got mad at him. Then I realized that a TV would cut my already sad prayer life to nothing. Why would God give me something that would take me away from him.
Just slow down and listen friends, pray that God opens your hearts, your minds and maybe your ears to the Holy Spirit. Ask God to come and work through you and show you things that he wants you to see. Pray always on every occasion my friends. Pray that God keep safety and protection over you, and that every evil thought or demon doesn't get in the way or mixed up with what God has in store for you.
God Bless my friends!
